How to reach us about a correction, a missing tool, a bug or anything else.
We would rather hear from you than not. Corrections are especially welcome: a wrong formula on a calculator page is worse than no calculator at all, because someone will buy materials on the strength of it.
What to send us
- A correction. Tell us the page, the figure you expected, and where your figure comes from. A supplier data sheet, a pattern envelope or a standard reference is ideal.
- A missing tool. If you keep doing the same calculation by hand for a craft we cover, describe it. If it is arithmetic rather than an opinion, it probably belongs here.
- A bug. Tell us the page and what you entered. Do not send us your own measurements if you would rather not: we can usually reproduce it from a description.
- A guide suggestion. If a question comes up again and again in your craft and we have not answered it, say so.
What we cannot help with
We cannot price your item for you, tell you what your market will pay, value a specific piece, or give advice on a formulation. Those depend on things only you know, and on your own suppliers and your own customers.
We also cannot give safety advice on chemicals, kilns, machinery or anything else where getting it wrong can hurt someone. Follow the manufacturer's data sheet and the guidance of a qualified person.
Getting in touch
Email is the reliable route: hello@handcraft.whattodoincaseof.com.
We read everything. We do not always reply quickly, and we will not reply at all to a message asking us to link to a product.
About links and recommendations
Some pages may carry affiliate links in the future, in which case they will be disclosed on the page they appear on, and they will never change what a tool calculates or what a guide recommends. Where we recommend a practice, it is because it is the right practice, not because someone paid for it.
