Usually a percentage plus a fixed charge per transaction.

Fixed charge per transaction

The flat part of the payment processing charge. It hurts small sales far more than large ones.

Target margin %

A MARGIN, which is a share of the selling price. Forty five percent margin means the profit is 45 percent of the price, which is a much higher price than a 45 percent markup.
