Definition
Findings
The small metal components that hold a piece of jewellery together: jump rings, clasps, ear wires, head pins, eye pins, crimp beads and bead caps.
Findings are usually a small share of the material cost and a large share of the perceived quality, so a cheap clasp on an expensive piece is a false economy. Count them per piece when costing, because they are easy to forget and they add up across a batch.
